It’s a new year—when many of us find ourselves reciting that common phrase, “This is going to be my year.” We feel pumped and ready to take action for growth in our career, business or financial profile. Little do we acknowledge it; but every year our goals seem to get away from us. Have you allowed the circumstances of life to interrupt your progress? How do you recover and prepare for a truly progressive 2024? There are ten steps you can take toward a successful 2024.

It is easy to see all the benefits of something great. But it is even more important to recognize the potential challenges that are likely to occur. By identifying such challenges, you are getting in front of potential problems with potential resolutions. Challenges may be directly or indirectly related to the actual action items associated with your ultimate goal. A challenge may include a life change, a job change, health issues, additional responsibilities, or time constraints.

When challenges such as these arise, you must ask yourself if it is worth persevering through that challenge and continuing with the pursuit of the ultimate goal despite the challenge faced. Planning for as many setbacks that could occur can be the difference between growth and failure.

Take note: Life changes are the most common reasons why many goals go unaccomplished. Will this too be your reason?
