When I think about Springtime, there is a freshness, an excitement and an expectation of newness that rises up within me. Spring is one of my most favorite times of the year because the blooming of flowers, the resurrection of green leaves on the trees and the freshness of the grass all remind me that life is continually being renewed.

Isaiah 42:9 tells us that the former things have come to pass and new things God now declares. Spring signifies and fulfills this promise outlined by the prophet Isaiah. Think about it. The verb form of spring means “to move upwardly and forward,” and that is exactly what God provides for us.
