Whether you are a parent, teacher, youth pastor, or a coach, you have a major influence on the people around you. For the first 30 years of my adulthood, I admit guilt! I was guilty of trying to take care of my wife, kids, students, and others. I was guilty of how I prioritized my behavior. I believed I was doing the “noble” job by taking care of everyone and everything. I look around me and see so many others behaving just like me. We believed that by taking care of everyone, we were providing others with things we did not have or did not know about as we grew up. It seemed to be the right thing to do.
