Ryan Christopher starts this interview laughing out loud and having to pull over to the side of the road to do the interview. After gathering himself and telling me he’s ready – that he can perform anywhere – I believe him, so we jump right in like old friends.
I ask him if he had grown up wanting to be in the fashion business as a Celebrity Fashion Stylist.
“No, actually, it wasn’t a dream of mine at all,” he says. “In fact, I didn’t even know people got paid to put clothes together for other people. I’m from Birmingham, Alabama, and I went to Miles College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. It wasn’t until my junior year of college that I began helping a friend with fashion shows on campus that got rave reviews. And it was how other people responded to what I was putting together that I took notice.”
