A spiritual take on the new year

As a lover of language and a spiritual seeker, I’m always looking for the deeper meanings behind words. And since we’re just getting settled into a new year, I’ve been pondering that word—new.

The dictionary gives us many definitions for new, including “fresh,” and “recently discovered.” New can also mean “unfamiliar” and “not existing before.”

What’s new for you? Some folks think that once you get to be over a certain age, then you become too set in your ways to do new things.

What? I don’t think so!
