As a child, what did you want to become when you grew up? For me, it was a whole list of things. I always wanted to be a mommy, a race car driver, a ballerina, a truck driver, an architect, a gymnast, an actress, a model, a film score composer, a dancer/choreographer, and a nomad.

Growing up, I had no idea that “ish” happened in life. I was wide-eyed, and believed that I could do all things and anything. I never planned for a divorce after twenty-one years of marriage, being a single mom of five, working twenty-hour days, or having a stroke, recovery, depression and anxiety. I just wanted to do it all, be it all and then some. More than anything, I wanted to be a nomad: I’d enjoy the moment, and immediately want to experience and enjoy another moment—somewhere else.
